Oliver Kühnel, born 1979, student at Photoacademy Cologne.
My passion for streetphotography allows me to see the world through different eyes. Wandering paths, discovering places and observing scenes that I wouldn't even notice if I wasn't a streetphotographer. My attention is mostly drawn to these little moments in everyday life, special places or odd things that trigger a certain impulse in me to go and capture them with my camera.
First inspired by street- and reportage grandees such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Frank, I've lately been influenced more and more by contemporary photographers like Alex Webb, Matt Stuart and Maciej Dakowicz as well as by the works of popular streetphotography collectives like "Burnmyeye" or "NYCSPC".
